Water and Climate Change

Southeast Indigenous Peoples have a special relationship with water. Today our physical and cultural survival is threatened by the commandeering of our water supply by the US for irresponsible uses. The majority of our water, 65%, is used for electricity while southeast Indigenous Peoples are muzzled when we try to discuss our conservation policies. Electricity could be conserved. wetlands release methane exponentially increasing the effects of climate change. water vapor is a GHG causing climate change that is also an impact of climate change. Increasing humidity contributes to climate change by increasing the hole in the ozone layer. This ozone hole then increases the heat on earth increasing the humidity that increases the ozone hole. water is a big part of the climate change cycle.
